Write for us

Bright Showbiz Journal welcomes pitches that make a lasting part of entertainment culture easier to understand. We are interested in clear, original ideas about public image, publicity, awards, fandom and showbiz business.

What makes a good pitch

Send a short proposal that states the central question, the reader it serves and what the piece will explain. A strong idea has a distinct angle, useful context and a scope that can be handled without relying on rumours, private information or unsupported claims. Evergreen comparisons, explainers and cultural histories are especially suitable.

Before you send

Tell us why the subject belongs in this publication and what material could support the piece. Disclose relevant interests or prior publication, and do not send confidential information or work presented as first-hand reporting unless that is explicitly part of the proposal and can be responsibly supported.

How to propose

Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title and a brief summary in your message. A proposal is not an assignment, and any accepted contribution may be edited for accuracy, focus and readability.
